Blessed Little Bungalow Has Been A Storyteller From Day One
When designing spaces, there's so much more to the story than just beautiful Before and After photos! Ready to see more behind the scenes of Team BLB's client projects and decorating tips from Amber? Check out the latest from the designer's blog below:
Decorating Small Spaces
Decorating can seem challenging, especially when you have limited space. I recently shared some advice for doing so in an article on AllTheStuff.com! If you’re trying to figure out how to squeeze your 2,500 sq ft life into a 500 sq ft studio, start by following these three easy tips…
Cherry Blossom
Quenisha was so excited about moving into her first home. Having decorated most of the rooms already, the entryway remained a mystery. So she decided to ask for a little help from BLB.
Raspberry Beret
What’s every fashionista’s dream? A closet full of designer shoes? A shopping spree on Rodeo Drive? Unlimited deliveries from StitchFix? Well for this frugal fashion blogger, all she wanted was a pretty space that screamed FAB, but within a fabulous budget.
Sharp Office
Busy families have busy lives, especially when it includes two successful careers and an active toddler that can wear her parents out. The Sharps liked their new home, but needed help falling in love with it. So they reached out to BLB to figure out what to do with the first room upon entry.
Chateau Chanel
Do you have a girl crush? Between you and me, I’ve got quite a few. They range from celeb-status to YouTube artists that are known for their talent, looks, style and personality. To my pleasant surprise, one of my girl crushes recently DM’d me on Instagram about wanting to collaborate on her new office space design. Meet Melissa Chanel.
Bachelor Bungalow
There’s no better feeling than buying your very first home! It’s a fulfilling accomplishment that not only makes you feel like you’ve made it, but also that you’ve earned the badge of being a responsible adult. Though picking out and purchasing a home seemed stressful for Ryan at first, picking out and purchasing furniture to go in it seemed like the more difficult task.
Gold & Bold
Working from home is truly a privilege! No business attire, morning commute or awkward conversations in the elevator or at the water cooler. But working from home successfully requires a space that inspires, motivates and invites your attention.
Mompreneur Office
Good things take time and the best things are always worth the wait. This is true for writing a best-selling novel (or editing one, as my client, Liz does) and the same can be said for designing the perfect home office for a hardworking mom and stepmom of five!
Glam Highrise
Ashley is the epitome of a go-getter. She’s a #girlboss in the public relations industry and known to always put her family, friends and career before herself. Well with her recent move back to Atlanta, Ashley decided to treat herself for once.
Office Upgrade
What’s the nicest gift your significant other ever gave you? Bouquets of flowers, diamond earrings, an unexpected vacation? Well not even a few weeks after their wedding, this newlywed bride had a sweet, secret surprise up her sleeve…
Business Boutique
In April, I decided to take a day off from my corporate job and make it a day on for my faith, finances, future and BLB! I joined hundreds of current and aspiring female entrepreneurs (and a few males as well!) at Christy Wright’s Business Boutique 1-Day Event in San Antonio!
Project Pressley
Several BLB projects have gotten off of the ground since Blessed Little Bungalow launched last April, but it all began with this one San Antonio home that is near and dear to my heart.
BLB Turns One!
This week I celebrated the first anniversary of Blessed Little Bungalow’s launch! That’s right, exactly one year ago on 4/4/16, blessedlittlebungalow.com went live and I officially started my business. My, time really does fly when you’re having fun!
Bejeweled Bedroom
It’s been a busy few months and I recently wrapped up a few projects in and outside of Texas. One of these projects was very nostalgic as it took me back to my old stomping grounds of Atlanta to reunite with an old colleague and friend.
New Year, New Vision
Happy New Year! 2016 was an incredible year for me. I received a promotion at the full-time gig, traveled to a few new countries, grew spiritually, shared amazing moments with my family and friends, and most memorably, took a leap of faith and launched Blessed Little Bungalow!
Home[Goods] for the Holidays
If you follow me on Instagram, you’re well aware that HomeGoods is my absolute favorite place to shop for home décor! Luckily seasonal décor is just as easy to find there throughout each holiday. With a few shopping trips to HomeGoods and a few other places, I was able to quickly decorate my first tree at BLB and a Christmas tree for a wonderful San Antonio client.
Weekending in Waco
Last weekend, a good friend of mine, Emily and I decided to take a last-minute trek outside of San Antonio’s city limits. Our mission: find a few missing furniture pieces for her apartment, meet a cool celebrity couple and leave inspired by an unfamiliar place. We didn’t accomplish it all, but here’s a quick glimpse of our adventure!
Special Delivery
Unisex décor and designs can seem tricky to many, but gender neutral nurseries are incredibly fun to me! It presents a challenge for colors, tones and styles, but also forces you to use your imagination and focus on one thing: making the unique space comfortable for the child to sleep, play and grow up in.
Curb Appeal
If you follow me on Instagram, you know I’ve wanted to paint my front door for a while now. The front door on my first house in Georgia was a plum-purple set against salmon-pink siding, but I was in the mood for something a bit brighter for BLB. Lucky for me, Modern Masters had the perfect color in mind…
Project Island Chic
After being in business for five months, BLB has several clients from near and far on the project list and a few designs that I’ve recently completed! One I’ve affectionately named #ProjectIslandChic.
