Several BLB projects have gotten off of the ground since Blessed Little Bungalow launched last April, but it all began with this one San Antonio home that is near and dear to my heart.

This week I celebrated the first anniversary of Blessed Little Bungalow’s launch! That’s right, exactly one year ago on 4/4/16, blessedlittlebungalow.com went live and I officially started my business. My, time really does fly when you’re having fun!

It’s been a busy few months and I recently wrapped up a few projects in and outside of Texas. One of these projects was very nostalgic as it took me back to my old stomping grounds of Atlanta to reunite with an old colleague and friend.

Happy New Year! 2016 was an incredible year for me. I received a promotion at the full-time gig, traveled to a few new countries, grew spiritually, shared amazing moments with my family and friends, and most memorably, took a leap of faith and launched Blessed Little Bungalow! 

If you follow me on Instagram, you’re well aware that HomeGoods is my absolute favorite place to shop for home décor! Luckily seasonal décor is just as easy to find there throughout each holiday. With a few shopping trips to HomeGoods and a few other places, I was able to quickly decorate my first tree at BLB and a Christmas tree for a wonderful San Antonio client.

Last weekend, a good friend of mine, Emily and I decided to take a last-minute trek outside of San Antonio’s city limits. Our mission: find a few missing furniture pieces for her apartment, meet a cool celebrity couple and leave inspired by an unfamiliar place. We didn’t accomplish it all, but here’s a quick glimpse of our adventure!

Unisex décor and designs can seem tricky to many, but gender neutral nurseries are incredibly fun to me! It presents a challenge for colors, tones and styles, but also forces you to use your imagination and focus on one thing: making the unique space comfortable for the child to sleep, play and grow up in.

The front door on my first house in Georgia was a plum-purple set against salmon-pink siding, but I was in the mood for something a bit brighter for BLB. Lucky for me, Modern Masters had the perfect color in mind…
