In the last installment of #ProjectRoyalEstate, I’m excited to share the dramatic Before and After photos of the boys’ bedroom and playroom. Lucky for me, this family is just as crazy about the Los Angeles Lakers as I am!

Last week, I shared Part I of Project Royal Estate, showcasing the complete transformation of this lovely South Carolina family’s home on the main floor. Today, I’m revealing the Before and After of the family’s master suite modernized from a dated, neutral color palette to a bold and sophisticated new look!

The best thing about running a business is building relationships with your customers, especially when my clients welcome me into their homes like family! My latest client family did just that.

The biggest compliment I can receive as a designer and business owner is referred and repeat business. It means that one of my clients was so happy with me and my work, they decided to ask for more help or send someone else needing help my way. My darling client, Jaméz from #ProjectRegalRetreat did just that.

Last Christmas, I had the pleasure of helping the Chapman family design their daughter, Carrington’s new big girl bedroom, Carrington’s Corner. Once I completed the project, “Miss Amber” got a huge hug bye from Carrington’s older brother, Ashton, so I knew it was only a matter of time before it was someone else’s turn! LOL

I’m back in San Antonio, Texas with another project for an existing client! Remember the Ortiz family of #ProjectFamilyFiesta? Back and January I showed you their brand new playroom, and now the adjacent guest bedroom was in need of a major makeover!

Back in March, I met the kindest 15-year-old young man and his lovely mom, Mimi. After spending an hour with him that Sunday afternoon, it was quite evident why Mimi wanted to treat her deserving son to a bedroom makeover.

Back in August, I downsized from a 3 bed/2 bath house to a 1 bedroom apartment a third of its size. It may look cute, but boy oh boy, it has been a struggle!

I love designing kids’ rooms! I can always be a bit more creative and execute ideas that are outside of the box. This spring, a previous client’s sister reached out to me about BLB helping her decorate her daughters’ bedroom in their new apartment.

On August 1st, after selling my Blessed Little Bungalow, I traded my 1650 square foot home in San Antonio for a 450 square foot apartment in the San Francisco Bay Area. It’s been quite the transition, but after a week of unpacking, my new “Bungalow” is ready to be revealed!

Last month, I put my beloved BLB on the market. It was a very bittersweet time preparing to say goodbye to the house I’ve called home for 3-1/2 years and San Antonio that has been my home away from home for the last 5 years.

Courtney and Brett are two talented professionals that call San Antonio home. After two years of marital bliss, they decided to purchase their first house in the Lone Star District and closed just in time for Christmas. With so many new rooms in the house to tackle, they reached out to BLB to design their new rooftop entertainment space this spring.

Do you have a bad case of “Junk Drawer Wars” happening in your home? Well, the drawers in my kitchen are the absolute worst, so much so that I’ve procrastinated tackling them for well over a year. After barely being able to open most of them, losing my house keys in one and locating them days later after rekeying my entire home, it was time for a change.

I’m tidying up BLB and sharing the process with you all in a four-part series. After knocking out my master bathroom a few weeks ago, I finally mustered up the courage to tackle the rest of my master suite.

Christmas is a joyful time of year, especially for children. This year I helped two parents play Santa to surprise their 3-year-old daughter, Carrington with a Big Girl Bedroom!

Jaméz’s home in Columbia, South Carolina is gorgeous! But she needed some assistance designing her master suite on the main floor. In two months, we were able to create the breathtaking, relaxing masterpiece she dreamed of waking up to each morning.

Two weeks ago, I binge-watched Netflix’s new series, Tidying Up with Marie Kondo. If you haven’t read Marie’s book, The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up, I highly recommend it! The New York Times bestseller is a step-by-step guide to the Japanese art of decluttering and organizing called the KonMari Method.

Over the summer, I met a beautiful family of five in Fair Oaks Ranch, Texas. They gave me the honor of designing my first gender-neutral playroom in their upstairs loft. From the very beginning, I was committed to knocking the project out of the park!
